Council Meeting Highlights
March 11, 2024
- Council passed Bylaw 2024-01 Animal Control Bylaw
- Council approved a transfer of $5,000 from the rainy day fund account to the savings account held at Connect First Credit Union.
- Council approved the appointment of Vanessa Van der Meer as a board member to the Linden Municipal Library Board for a 3 year term ending March 2027
- Council accepted the General Design Standards and Construction Specifications as information and be brought back to the next meeting for further discussion.
- Council supports the ABmuni’s in that Albertians local leaders want local elections to be independant.
- Council approved the purchase of 6 tires for the 2013 2 Ton Dodge and the replacement of the fuel tank for the 2016 freightliner MZ 106 garbage truck.
March 25, 2024
- Council advised Admin to register all five (5) Councillors and CAO to attend the 2024 ABmunis Convention and Trade Show at the Red Deer Westerner Park.
- Council accepted for information the request to advertise in the 18th edition on the Military Service Recognition Book printed by the Alberta-NWT Command Legion.
- Council accepted for information the FCM 2024 Annual Conference & Trade Show.
- Council approved the 2024 requisiton amount of $12,328.75 to Kneehill Housing Corporation.
- Council directed the Engineers to amend Figure 1.0 to reflect 10.0m for the two driving lanes versus 9.0m as originally drawn and the minimum 3.0m seperation to edge of transformer to 2.5m.
