ATTENTION DOG OWNERS

The Village of Linden is an on-leash Municipality, meaning dogs must be leashed unless they are on their own property or in a designated off-leash area (Coulee South of Central Avenue). There are financial penalties associated with contravention of the Bylaw. This reminder is being issued as there have been recent issues with dogs off leash either causing a disturbance and/or a physical attack requiring veterinary intervention.

An additional reminder to ensure that you are a responsible dog owner and are picking up after your dogs. There has been an increase in the amount of dog waste left within the municipality; on pathways, sidewalks and our parks. This is unpleasant and poses health risks. The Village provides dog waste bags at dog waste stations located in the coulee and along the walking path. The dog waste bags should be disposed of in waste containers and not left along pathways for others to clean up after you. Please ensure that you are utilizing these if you do not carry your own bags.

Please familiarize yourself with Bylaw 2024-01 Animal Control Bylaw to ensure that you are compliant and are aware of the penalties that will be applied in the case of contravention.
