FCSS
Kneehill Regional Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)
Working for the municipalities of Acme, Carbon, Kneehill County, Linden, Three Hills and Trochu. Kneehill Regional FCSS is working to care for and strengthen the quality of life for all residents of participating municipalities through volunteerism, support and providing preventive social initiatives and programs. Kneehill Regional FCSS develops and/or supports locally driven preventive social initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities. Kneehill Regional FCSS is a partnership between the provincial and municipal governments. A Board made up of one elected official representative from each participating municipality administers the program. The Board sets the direction for the program and makes the funding decisions. The FCSS Director and Program Assistant are employed to carry out the activities of the program and liaise with other community groups. Funding is provided to a variety of Kneehill area projects and/or programs, such as Seniors Outreach, Kneehill Community Resource Program, Kneehill Family and Marriage Counselling, Wellness Centres and education sessions for parents or youth.
